Il s'utilise pour des actions en train de se faire. Il se forme à l'aide de : 'BE' au présent + verbe en 'ING'.

Exemple : *Look ! She is watching television. *We are reading a book, now. *Is she watching television ? *Are you reading a book now ? *She isn't watching television. *No, we aren't reading a book now.

Il s'utilise avec les expressions de temps suivantes : now, today, at the moment.

Il s'utilise pour des actions habituelles, fréquentes, générales.Il se forme à l'aide de l'auxiliaire 'Do' et de la base verbale. A la forme affirmative, on utilise :' I watch, you watch, she watch'es', you read, he read's'. A la forme négative, on utilise : les auxiliaires 'DON'T' et 'DOESN'T' + base verbale. Exemple : *I don't play football on Mondays *he doesn't watch television at home. A la forme interrogative, on utilise : l'auxiliaire 'DO' ou 'DOES' + Sujet + base verbale. Exemple : *Do you go to school by car ? *Does she do her homework every day ?
